Elaine Winter - Program Director
Elaine Winter joins Discovery Programs after having directed The Parent
Center at Henry Street Settlement and having been for many years Principal
of the Lower School of The Little Red School House. In both settings, she
worked with teachers, parents and young children to create vibrant and joyful
learning environments.
Elaine is first and foremost an early childhood educator and writes and
presents frequently on topics related to early learning, parenting and child
development. She is also an enthusiastic community builder. Elaine says,
“I am delighted to be joining Discovery Programs and look forward
to meeting and working with the families who make up this exciting community.
Discovery offers extraordinary opportunities for young children to grow
and develop.”
