This applied theatre workshop invites children aged 8-12 to creatively explore their visions of the future through storytelling and interactive theatre exercises. In a safe, engaging, and imaginative environment, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what the future means to them—whether it’s the world they hope to see, the challenges they anticipate, or the possibilities they dream of.
Through a series of fun and dynamic activities, children will:
Explore their views of the future
Through guided discussions and theatre games, participants will brainstorm what the world might look like in ten, twenty, or even fifty years. They will have the chance to express their hopes, concerns, and creative visions for the future.
The workshop will encourage children to use their voices to communicate their thoughts, whether through spoken word, movement, or drama. They will be given the space to practice and develop their ability to express themselves clearly and confidently.
A key component of this workshop is giving children the tools and confidence to express their views, opinions, and emotions. They will learn how to use theatre as a platform for self-expression and begin to understand the power of their voice in shaping the world around them.
This workshop is designed to be a fun, supportive, and thought-provoking space for children to engage with important themes of the future, while developing vital communication and creative skills. The workshop will run for 5 weeks and will culminate in a student-led performance or project.
