A Note from the Director

Dear Parents,

If you are here this summer with us, we hope your children are having fun and meeting new friends! I love seeing the range of ages, from babies through 14-year-olds, together during the day in different programs.

This summer, we have some former students volunteering and working in our camps. I am excited to watch them develop into mentors and teachers after having been in the program as children for many years.

If you are not in classes or camps this summer, we look forward to seeing you in the fall! In the meantime, we wanted to look back on the Winter/Spring semester and share some highlights with you. It was a wonderful semester and I’d like to thank all of the parents for trusting us to provide fun, educational, nurturing and engaging programs for your children.

Spring Semester Recap

Recreational and Team Gymnastics

This year, we trained the biggest Copper 1 team we’ve ever had, and they scored six first place team trophies at competitions!
We had more older recreational gymnastics students, ranging from Beginner and Advanced Beginner levels to All Stars
We had such high demand for 3/4-year-old classes that we added three more time slots than we had in the fall, bringing us to 8 classes and 70 students!
8 team gymnasts attended World Championships in Orlando at the end of June/beginning of July and competed in Copper 1, Copper 2 and Bronze

Dance

We launched a new Hip Hop class and will continue with two age groups in the fall!
We welcomed new teachers, Faride and Sarah
47 dancers performed in the Spring Dance Recital

Toddler Classes

We filled two 12/18 month sections of our Gym for Tots class!
We resumed our Stories and Sounds music class with Miss Natalie

We welcomed a new teacher, Natasha, to the Early Childhood programs

Martial Arts

After 27 years of studying and teaching under another martial arts organization, Kyoshi Karin created her own program here called Discovery Martial Arts, which will continue to operate under similar principles. Full description here!
