PERFORMANCES- Sunday May, 7 2017 at 11:00am and 2:00pm
We have two shows again this year at 11:00am and 2:00pm to accommodate our growing dance department – this way we can seat all family and friends comfortably. Both shows will take place at 251 W. 100th St., New York, NY 10025. Both recitals will be on Sunday, May 7th. Most classes will be performing in only one show, but some classes will perform in both (see below at end of email).
Recital 1*
Sunday, May 7th, 11:00am
Doors will open 20 minutes before the performance at 10:40am

9:15am – 4/5s and up
9:30am – 3 and 3/4s
Recital 2*
Sunday, May 7th, 2:00pm
Doors will open 20 minutes before performance at 1:40pm
Dancer drop off time
12:45pm – all dancers

251 West 100th Street, Lower Level
Entrance is between Broadway and West End Avenue, marked by ramp.

IF YOUR CHILD IS IN BOTH SHOWS
If your child is in both performances, parents may choose which performance you would like to attend (or you can attend both). It’s strongly requested that your child perform in both shows. If your child is unable to attend one of the shows, please let us know ASAP.

Rehearsal Friday, April 28th
Rehearsal Time- 3:00-3:45pm – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3s and 3/4s classes only
Rehearsal Time- 4:00-4:45pm – Monday and Tuesday 4/5s and older classes only
Rehearsal Friday, May 5th
Rehearsal Time 3:00-3:45pm – Wednesday and Saturday 3s and 3/4s classes only
Rehearsal Time 4:00-4:45pm – Wednesday and Saturday 4/5s and older classes only
The rehearsals will be at the Discovery Programs’ main location,
251 West 100th Street
Between Broadway and West End Avenue
Please let your teacher know, or email katie.discovery@gmail.com if you are unable to attend the rehearsal. The rehearsals will be drop-off. Parents are welcome to wait in the upper landing while the classes run through the performance.
TICKETING
All tickets are for purchase, $15 adults / $10 children, cash or check only. Children who are able to sit in a parent’s lap do not need to buy a ticket.
Tickets will be sold and distributed at the Front Desk starting Monday 4/3. Parents must come in to buy tickets or send in money with their caregiver to buy tickets. Separate tickets will be sold for the 11am and 2pm recitals, so please specify which show your child is performing in when purchasing your ticket. For families with children performing in both shows, you will only need to buy 1 set of tickets.
All tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis. You are responsible for bringing your tickets on the day of the recital. On the day of the recital, the Ticket Desk will not hold tickets for other party members. There are no ticket reservations or refunds.
DVDS
The Spring Recital will be professionally recorded and available for purchase. DVD order forms will be available in the lobby after the shows.
DANCERS’ ROLES
Each class will be performing a dance choreographed to a song inspired from around the world. On the day of the performance students are separated by their class dance. It is very important that you know what dance AND performance (11am, 2pm or both) your child is in.
