A Note from The Director

Dear Parents,

Just as we are about to close out the year 2022, I am so pleased to announce the return of our newsletter, The Spark. For those who are new to the Discovery family, this is our monthly newsletter, which incudes highlights and news about classes and programs. During the last two and half years after the start of the pandemic, we unfortunately did not have the capacity to create this newsletter.

I recognize the return of The Spark as a great stride for us in the re-growth of the program overall since the pandemic. Other strides from this year include: the returns of Early Childhood programming and dance performances; the addition of more toddler classes and a cheer class; welcoming new staff members; and the renovation, of course! I’d like to highlight the return of staff member, Sam Gelbert, in a new role as Program and Marketing Coordinator! We are excited to have her back.

Some families have been with us through all of the ups and downs over the last couple of years and we are so grateful to you. Whether your child is a new or returning student, we hope all of you start to see and feel the connection and community that is so important to us at Discovery. Happy Holidays!

A Note from Sam, Program and Marketing Coordinator

Dear Parents,

I’m excited to share some programming updates with you as we prepare to enter the new year!

Our space’s renovations are almost complete and we’re excited to begin using the multipurpose room soon for Early Childhood and karate classes and other events, including birthday parties.

This winter, we’re looking forward to our USAIGC Team Gymnastics Showcase on Sunday, January 8th and our Winter Dance Concert on Sunday, February 5th.

The last day of the Fall Semester is on Saturday, February 11th and our Winter/Spring Semester begins on Monday, February 13th. Priority registration is currently open! Monday, January 9th at 12:00pm is the last day to secure your child’s spot in their current class for the Winter/Spring semester. After that, we open registration to new students.

As a reminder, we’re closed for holiday break from Thursday, December 22nd through Monday, January 2nd.
